Micro Wedding Perthshire in the Misty Rain & Mountains of Scotland
Remy & Seth's Outdoor Micro Wedding Perthshire at Monachyle Mhor
"Oh my goodness yesterday was everything we could have ever hoped for (and more)! This whole time I thought I didn’t have a “dream wedding” in mind, but it turns out this was exactly it!!! And the weather was perfect as well - the mist and clouds highlighted the scenery and Mel’s beautiful flowers! I really can’t fully convey how thankful I am for this experience you all provided, I’m still a little emotional about it… And Sarah, Kendal, and Jean were just lovely and made everything run so smoothly! Thank you x a million and I will definitely be recommending WWW to everyone I know 🙂 Remy & Seth"
The Wee Wild Weddings crew were back at Monachyle Mhor for Remy and Seth’s beautiful micro wedding. We do love a good old Mhor wedding!
These two absolutely rocked their wedding day. Rocked. It.
Yes, it rained but hey, that’s Scotland for you. Plus, Remy summed it up perfectly, afterwards she told us how the weather was “perfect” for them. The mist and the clouds highlighted the scenery and made the colours of the stunning flowers stand out. So, couples, embrace the weather! There is always a silver lining!
Micro weddings at Monachyle Mhor
Remy and Seth came over from America for their Scottish mountain wedding. They’d done ‘the legal bit’ over in the States so were treating this wedding as a commitment ceremony in front of their families. Remy and Seth are so cool, so effortlessly cool. Seth looked awesome in a bottle green suit and colourful floral tie. His buttonhole, complete with Scottish thistle, looked fab against all of the bright colours.
Remy had styled her boho dress with white wellies (an essential piece of Scottish wedding kit), a flower crown, and the most amazing coral fur coat. She looked incredible and her Dad’s face was a picture when he saw her for the first time. Dad definitely gets some cool points too, in his Hugo Boss suit and Adidas trainers. The styling for the whole day was off the charts. The whole WWW team loved working with Seth and Remy, their ideas were fantastic and they were so keen for us to get super creative too.
Scottish mountain wedding ceremony
Remy and Seth had chosen to get married on the mountainside, overlooking the loch. They were surrounded by yellow gorse bushes, heather, and wild grasses, it was the most beautiful spot.
Kendal Delaney, our humanist celebrant, led a poignant and really sweet commitment ceremony. Remy and Seth had opted for a handfasting and had brought over the rope with them from America, they’d spent time dying it ahead of their day. Got to say, these two can tie an excellent knot, I was impressed! Got to give another shout-out to Dad too, for an emotional reading. He had everyone in tears!
After the ceremony, Remy and Seth were just engulfed in hugs by their loved ones. That’s always one of my favourite moments at a wedding. Those post-ceremony cuddles. Then it was time for a few portraits before we made our way back to Monachyle Mhor for one of Scottish Wild Picnic’s legendary picnic setups. It looked incredible.
So, here are some of our highlights from the day. And remember, be like Remy and Seth, embrace your wedding day, whatever it throws at you.
