Wondering about adding in something we’ve not mentioned? Let us know and we can arrange it for you – the benefits of having a wedding planner included!
Alright, you caught me – There are some things we, unfortunately, can’t do for you – but worry not, help is on hand.
• You’ll need to choose your ceremony location, we will help with that – we have SO many fab location ideas to choose from!! The wilds of West Scotland, a great glen, a serene loch, somewhere ancient? We have a super-secret map full of ideas.
• You will need to arrange your marriage schedule. Once you’ve decided on a location, you’ll need to apply to the council your ceremony location falls in for your marriage schedule. Most councils charge £70 for the marriage schedule and you need to give 29 days notice unless you have exceptional circumstances and then the 29 days wait may be waived.
• You will need to become a member of the Humanist Society Scotland – their celebrants cannot marry you unless you are one. It’s really easy to sign up though – once we’ve secured your celebrant we’ll let you know how to pay the £85 membership fee. Humanist ceremonies are the BEST ceremonies and trust us – We’ve been to a lot of ceremonies!
What else is there to do you ask?? Just the fun stuff!! Picking your wedding outfits and perhaps getting some rings if you fancy them! Cat from Fin Flükra is on hand to help research & book any required travel and accommodation for you as well. Easy peasy.
