NAOMI & CSONGOR - LOCH VENACHAR LODGES
"We are obsessed. When we decided to elope we always knew the photos were going to be the key take away (after being married of course!) they're what we'll look at in 30 years to remember our amazing day and the start of our married life, and we knew we'd be sending them to friends and family to say 'look how beautiful Scotland is! Of course we had to elope here!', and you've surpassed even our wildest hopes for how amazing our photos could be! Thank you! We're so so happy." - Naomi & Csongor

On a glorious December day, Naomi and Csongor strolled down the jetty and pledged their love to each other overlooking a peaceful Loch Venachar. It was picture perfect and we absolutely loved being part of their Wee Wild Wedding.
ELOPEMENT CEREMONY SCOTLAND
Naomi and Csongor had travelled from Edinburgh to get married in the heart of the Trossachs and what a location they’d chosen! Loch Venachar Lodges are stunning, two lodges – Coorie and Carsaig – with views out over the simply stunning Loch Venachar and surrounding mountains. Each lodge also has its own hot tub (hello!) and a private jetty and decking. They’re ideal for elopements or even just a wee break out in the Scottish countryside.
It was December, so Naomi and Csongor were prepared for freezing, blustery weather. What none of us expected was blue skies and calm, the Loch was like a mirror. The sun was shining and Naomi braved it with bare arms all day. What a trooper! She had brought along an amazing cape that she was determined to wear down to the jetty as a surprise for Csongor. Then she ditched it and spent the day in her stunning dress.
Winter elopement in the Trossachs
Naomi and Csongor are super cute together, when we arrived that morning they were all snuggled up in their PJs before getting ready for their first look. That was a mega sweet moment. Csongor’s face when he saw Naomi…adorable! He helped her lace up her walking boots (love a practical bride) before he made his way down to the jetty to wait for her.
Naomi (and that epic winter cape) arrived and they clasped hands as they said their vows. There was laughter, there were a few tears and the whole ceremony was beautiful. As they told us later, it was everything they’d wished for, and more.
After a post ceremony glass of fizz (or two!) we set off on a little adventure over to the Glen Finglas Visitor Gateway. It’s a great spot to start exploring Glen Finglas. After a short, steep climb up through the woodland (take a look at those colours, we were in awe!) we arrived at the old, abandoned Drippan farmstead. Now, you all know we love a ruin up in Scotland, so Csongor and Naomi cuddled away while I got some gorgeous photos of them amongst the old stones.
We started heading back down and, dream wedding moment alert, it began to snow! Just a light flurry but it was utterly beautiful and made their day.
After some more photos on the lochside it was time to eat. Scottish Wild Picnics had been working hard up at the lodge preparing a feast for Naomi and Csongor. It looked so good, the team are incredible and their wee finishing touches – in this case cute ceramic christmas tree decoration place names – are always wonderful. They go that extra mile, which is what we love at Wee Wild Weddings!
