Getting Married In Scotland - a Romantic Glencoe elopement

This was a super cute day. Fiona and Ross were having a secret wedding, no one knew they were eloping so it was just the two of them. Very exciting!

They were staying at Woodlands Seabeds, cool luxury pods in Glencoe, with amazing views out over Loch Linnhe. Such a great spot to stay ahead of getting married in Scotland. These two are super stylish, check out Fiona’s pink Docs and how amazing are Ross’ socks with Fiona’s face on?!! It was such a chilled morning and before we knew it was time for their first look (absolutely adorable!) before we jumped into the car and headed up to Ralston Cairn

Now, we pride ourselves on knowing some of the best hidden spots for getting married in Scotland, and this is no exception. We love getting off the beaten path and while Ralston Cairn is pretty well known, not many people know the perfect layby parking and short walk to get there. Because no one wants a mega mountain hike in their best wedding gear, right?!

So, we pulled up in the world’s dodgiest (but most convenient) layby and had a wee stroll up a path to reach the cairn. The views once you get to the top are unbelievable. The valley below is stunning and the backdrop of mountain ranges (the Three Sisters) is incredible. You feel like you’re on top of the world.

Lesley, one of our lovely hair and makeup artists, and Sarah, our photographer, had joined us for the ceremony. They were their witnesses. Multitasking at its finest! And Ross was responsible for one of our favourite Wee Wild Wedding moments when he howled down the Glencoe Valley as soon as they were married. Pretty sure everyone in the area heard him, those acoustics are fab!

Getting married in Glencoe

Ceremony (and celebratory howls) over we went for a wee wander around Glencoe. There is no shortage of picturesque spots around here. Some of Scotland’s most photographed locations are in Glencoe and with good reason. It’s just beautiful. Plus you’re in the mountains here but you don’t have to actually climb any mountains. Winner!

We spent the afternoon driving from spot to spot, getting some fab photos and having a right good giggle. Ross and Fiona were on cloud nine and were super cute together. Lots of snuggling and hand holding which makes for the best photos. Yass!

After all that we delivered them back to Seabeds where their luxury picnic was ready and waiting for them. A perfect end to a fab day. Awesome!
